Kuala Lumpur, 31 March 2026 — IO Setia Ventures (IOSV) marked a significant milestone with the signing of a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) with Rongsu Technology Co., Ltd during the Offshore Technology Conference Asia (OTC Asia 2026), held at the Kuala Lumpur Convention Centre (KLCC).

The collaboration establishes a strategic partnership to advance the adoption of Wire Arc Additive Manufacturing (WAAM) technology within Malaysia. WAAM is an advanced metal additive manufacturing process that enables the efficient fabrication, repair, and refurbishment of large and complex components, offering reduced lead times, lower material wastage, and improved cost efficiency.

Under this partnership, IOSV has been appointed as the exclusive reseller and strategic partner for Rongsu Technology’s WAAM machines in the Malaysian oil and gas sector. This positions IOSV to strengthen its capabilities in delivering innovative, technology-driven solutions to industry players.

Beyond technology adoption, IOSV will integrate WAAM into its broader service offerings, including inspection, reverse engineering, and asset integrity solutions — delivering end-to-end value and improved operational resilience for clients.
